In RL, when i was a little girl, we would go up to my father's mother's house for Thanksgiving every year. My dad is the oldest of 5 children, so there would a lot of people there for dinner: my dad's 4 brothers, who all have families and my dad's youngest sister, who doesn't have children but is married. It was lots of fun. My grandmother lives in Washington State, so we would hafta travel up there along the 1-5 corridor, so it was a long, busy drive, about 6ish hours. Now, that we are older, and most of us have families of our own, we all get together in mid-October for our Thanksgiving feast. This year, we had around 30 people gathered together! :D
Since i work retail and hafta work Black Friday, i don't get to go out of town for Thanksgiving anymore. But, this year, i think we will have my RL husband's good friend over. We will do the regular meal, turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, etc and, of course, pumpkin pie! This year, someone brought Sweet Potato pie to the annual get together in October. It was good, i had never tried it before, but i think i prefer Pumpkin. :)
